Why Upgrade to LED’s
Some of the benefits of LED lights
- LED lights are the most energy efficient lighting solution available, with an average of over 70% reduction in power consumption.
- LED lights last longer – averaging 50,000 hours of use per light, as opposed to approximately 10,000 hours for fluorescent lights, 3,000 hours for halogen bulbs and a mere 750-2000 for incandescent bulbs.
- LED lights run at low temperatures, further increasing their efficiency and making them safe to handle even after extended periods of use.
- LED lights are made from housings which use toughened materials such as aluminium and steel, with epoxy resin lenses. This makes them far less prone to breakage, which can spread dangerous glass fragments when using traditional lights.
- Unlike many halogen lights, LEDs do not contain dangerous mercury, which can cause health complications if a bulb breaks in a workplace environment.
- LED lights emit less UV radiation, leading to a lowered risk of ocular health issues due to long-term exposure, particularly in industrial and commercial settings.
